Browns and Browns focus

In 1970 Joan Burstein with her husband Sidney created the first shop, Browns. Once a small boutique housed at No 27, Browns rapidly became one of London’s main fashion destinations and is still a central attraction today

Browns is a fashion landmark and has been since it was created by Joan Burstein and her husband Sidney in the ‘70s. Once a small boutique housed on the ground floor at 27 South Molton Street, Browns has rapidly expanded to cater for every fashion-focused customer, woman or man. Browns now includes a boutique dedicated entirely to menswear as well as the continuously edgy Browns Focus and the Browns Sloane St. branch for women. The latest store is the new Browns Bride store, now located on Hinde Street W1 catering for every discerning bride-to-be.
